Scholarship Program
Eligibility:

Students must:
- Must be a high school Senior.
- Have an active checking account with Citizens Bank Minnesota.
- Must watch the "Personal Finance for High School Students" video by Andrew Schear from Practical Personal Finance, and take/submit the Personal Finance quiz. (Both accessible by clicking buttons below.)
- If you meet all requirements, a Citizens Bank Minnesota employee will email the online scholarship application link to you once the online portal opens on February 1, 2024. If the quiz is submitted after February 1st, during the open time frame, application links will be sent out during business hours, Monday - Friday, if qualifications are met.
- Fill out your scholarship form completely and submit to Scholarship America.
Awards:
We award 7 scholarships. 1 - $1,000 scholarship that may be renewed for an additional three years, on the basis of satisfactory academic performance and maintaining full-time enrollment. 4 - $1,000 non-renewable scholarships. 2 - $500 non-renewable scholarships. Not all applicants will be selected to receive an award. To be eligible for the $1,000 renewable scholarship you must plan on attending a 4-year post-secondary institution. All applicants must have an open and active checking account with Citizens, and also complete the Scholarship course videos and questionnaires before applications are distributed. All scholarship dollars will be paid directly to the post-secondary institution.
Application:
Online applications will be available February 1, 2024. The application link is not sent automatically after completing the quiz - it will be emailed out from a Citizens Bank Minnesota employee on February 1st, 2024 to all applicants who have completed the video and survey as well as meet all required criteria. If completing the video and quiz after February 1st, qualifications will be reviewed and sent daily, M-F. Applicants are responsible for gathering and submitting to Scholarship America all necessary information by 3:00 PM on March 15, 2024. Applications are evaluated on the information provided; therefore, the applicant must answer questions to the fullest extent possible. All information received is considered confidential and is reviewed only by Scholarship America.
